The only reason I say "I hope" is because I've been jumping through hoops trying to get them to erase the "F" I "had" from Comm Law. I had an "I" because the semester I took Comm Law was the semester I carried 15 hours, the Missourian, the job at Olive Garden, STRIPES, Vagina Monologues AND pledging my sorority. For all the greeks out there (especially the black greeks), they know exactly how much of a drain pledging can be. Anyway, I re-took the course this summer and Sandy Davidson forgot to pass on my grade change. So now I have the registrar AND the j-school breathing down my neck. Lame, lame, lame and even more lame. Somedays, I really wish I had just walked away from journalism when I added on English as my second major.
*quick gripe about j-school: it sucks, most of the professors won't even attempt to help you if you don't go running after every internship that comes your way and a lot of the people i sit in classes with have their heads so far up their asses because of their internships and experiences. keep in mind i'm not referring to all j-schoolers. just 95% ;)*
I'm not going to lie, it's going to be all that I can do NOT to run across that stage and snatch my degree. I find that most days when I go to class, my extracurricular activities and out with friends, I find myself saying the same thing: "I'm getting too old for this shit." The pettiness, the backbiting, the snippy comments and the unwanted come-ons (I'm gonna break for a second to plug a fellow friend's blog: http://femaleandbreathing.blogspot.com read and be enlightened) is enough to make me just want to leave school and start my life elsewhere.
As for good news: I am digging my english capstone (yay irish lit) and I have some fun weekends coming up: Trish's b-day this weekend, Vagina Monologues/Kevin's visit next weekend and Becca's visit the weekend after that. I'm gonna end on that b/c I can't think of other stuff that's been going on to blog about. Yeah, I've been that boring.
